Summer Joy

It is 10:08 PM and I do not have a blog post written for tomorrow.

I have a few drafts going... a recipe or two, but no pics to go with them.  So, I have to make them again and remember to photograph the dish before we gobble it up.

I have a handful of drafts that have to do with raw milk and grocery store bans... and new sweeteners since we ditched the white stuff - but nothing ready to post yet.

Since I really need to get to bed now (so as to at least get near the 8-hour mark), I'm just going to leave you with this...

These two amazing grandkids of mine enjoying every ounce of summer fun.

My sweet boy, who is 3 and a half, and his little sister... my darling girl, who is 20 months.

They ran through that sprinkler laughing and squealing for a solid 45 minutes... before they broke it.  Curiously, they picked it up too many times, and when it landed on it's side, it got stepped on.

Oh well, it was great fun while it lasted.

How about you?  Are you squeezing every ounce of fun out of your summer?

I'm off to bed (10:16... an hour and fifteen minutes earlier than last night.  Yes!)

Such precious memories in the making!"One reason we are so harried and hurried is that we make yesterday and tomorrow our business, when all that legitimately concerns us is today. "If we really have too much to do, there are some items on the agenda which God did not put there. Let us submit the list to Him and ask Him to indicate which items we must delete. There is always time to do the will of God. If we are too busy to do that, we are too busy.” - Elisabeth Elliot
This is just what you are doing!! Get good sleep...impt. for Mamas :)
God bless you!

Oh, I love that quote from Elisabeth Elliot. Thanks for sharing it, Jacqueline. I do need to heed that wise counsel!
You're so right... good sleep is important for Mamas... and Grandmamas! ;-) (I'm the Gramma!)
