The Flora of Late September

I took a walk around the neighborhood and pond the last week of September and was surprised to see how many flowers are still in bloom...

Just one, funky fern poking through a grassy hill.

Fern fading.

A few days later, this pretty tree is outside my bank.

Then last weekend we went back to the orchard to replenish our apples, and I was surprised how their flower beds are still flourishing.

A cute little boy ran into my frame. {grin}  The orchard-day will be another post...

It's been raining here for days and days...

It feels like weeks.
