Getting the Bridge Back!

Our pretty little covered bridge, Bowers Bridge, will be restored and returned to it's post.  Yay!

Presently, it's still sitting in our neighbor's yard, where it landed during the floods from Irene.  You can see, though, they have stripped away the old, storm-tattered boards.  They've also started repairing the site from which it was torn away.

They don't expect it to be completed until early Summer.  That's okay... I'm just happy it's going to be done.  It gave such character to the 4-corners in our little neighborhood.

There isn't still snow on it today.  This was taken last weekend before it melted off.

Just thought this was interesting.  Sitting on the couch about 10 AM - noticed the snow on the trees out the window.

Then, back on the couch at about 2 PM, noticed the snow mostly gone and blue sky peaking through.

Saw this on Quiet Life yesterday...

November comes,
And November goes
With the last red berries
And the first white snows,

With night coming early
And dawn coming late,
And ice in the bucket
And frost by the gate.

The fires burn
And the kettles sing,
And earth sinks to rest
Until Next Spring.
